SCHMECKENFEST DEC. 5 IN LA GRANGE
Downtown La Grange is preparing to ring in the holiday season at the 18th Annual Schmeckenfest.
Visitors to the courthouse square on Thursday, December 5th from 5 to 8 p.m. can sample various different types of wassail, or hot cider, during a wassail tasting contest. Awards will be given for the best wassail based on the public’s vote.
There will also be food, snacks and sweets offered at food booths.
In addition, there will be games, performances, crafts and a parade. Check-in for the parade begins at 4:45 p.m. at the La Grange Fire Department, with the parade beginning at 5:15 p.m. and ending on the east side of the square.
Admission for Schmeckenfest is free.
