WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD APPROVES ADVISORY BOARD REAPPOINTMENTS
The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors met last week to make reappointments to the Agricultural Advisory Board.
The advisory board’s members are appointed by the chief appraiser, with the consent of the appraisal district board, to advise the chief appraiser on matters concerning the valuation and use of agricultural land.
The board consists of five members who serve staggered two-year terms. Two of those members, Robert Lehmann and Ray Thaler, had terms that were set to expire at the end of the year, but the board approved them to serve another two-year term of 2025-26.
Lehmann and Thaler are joined on the advisory board by Blake Eikenhorst, Gil Janner and Mark Klaus.
Also at last week’s meeting, the appraisal district board selected Seidel Schroeder to perform the appraisal district’s 2023-24 audit at a cost not to exceed $12,000. Staff anticipates that the audit will be completed and presented to the board in January.
