NAVASOTA CITY MANAGER LEAVING FOR A NEW POSITION
The City of Navasota will soon be looking for a new City Manager.
The City has announced that Jason Weeks is stepping down from his role as City Manager to accept the City Manager position in Mineral Wells. His final day with Navasota is set for Friday, January 24.
Weeks expressed gratitude and pride in his time with Navasota, highlighting the city's progress and the dedication of the staff, council, and community during his tenure.
Reflecting on his time in Navasota, Weeks said that Navasota has taken steps forward to becoming more proactive and planning for the impending growth.
Weeks also complimented the staff saying that the City is lucky to have such an amazing, hard-working, and talented public servant team that provides public safety, essential services, quality of life amenities, and internal services for the community.
The Navasota City Council will soon begin the process of selecting a new City Manager. Council members will discuss transition plans and next steps when they meet on Monday in a closed executive session.
In a press release, the City of Navasota extended its best wishes to Weeks as he takes on his new role and thanked him for his service to the community.
