AUSTIN MAN CHARGED WITH DWI
An Austin man faces a DWI charge after his arrest by Brenham police on New Year’s Eve.
Around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Officer Bryan Morong responded to the area of the 2700 block of Highway 290 West for a reported reckless driver.
Police observed the vehicle driving eastbound and initiated a traffic stop for a moving violation.
After further investigation, 31-year-old Mitchell Todd Barletta was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container. He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
