The number of permits is down from the 400 issued in 2023. However, last year’s permit value came in above 2023’s total of $44,202,794.
In 2024, 111 new homes were permitted for $19,001,405. In comparison, 2023 saw slightly more homes permitted at 114, but at a lower value of $15,954,459. Residential renovations and additions combined for $4,171,843 on 114 permits last year, below 2023’s marks of $6,732,525 on 164 permits.

There were no multi-family residential permits issued in 2024. 2023 had five new multi-family permits for $990,000 and a total of seven multi-family renovations and additions for $803,500.
The city issued 13 commercial building permits for $13,424,395 during 2024, above the nine permits for $9,449,317 in 2023. There were 59 commercial renovations and additions for $9,964,949 in 2024, down from 2023’s totals of 78 permits for $10,057,272.
For December 2024, the city issued 21 permits for $1,449,175. December 2023 had the same number of permits, but at a reduced value of $718,594.
