BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS WEDNESDAY FOR INVALID LICENSE, NO INSURANCE
Two people were arrested by Brenham police on Wednesday.
Just past 10 a.m., Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Thiel Street. Police say their investigation revealed that the driver, 38-year-old Channon Maples of Waller, was driving during a suspension period. Maples was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked in for Driving While License Invalid.
Shortly after 10 p.m., Officer Bryan Morong stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of South Day Street. Investigation determined that the driver, 19-year-old Yeibin Ortiz of Brenham, showed to have an active warrant out of Brenham Municipal Court for No Insurance. Ortiz was taken into custody and booked in at the Washington County Jail.
