EIGHT SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT
Eight people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st District Court before Judge John Winkelmann.
42-year-old Erin Thompson of Houston, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 3 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 grams, a second degree felony. Thompson was also fined $1,000.
27-year-old Christopher Jordan Tran of Houston, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 8 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 grams, a third degree felony. Tran was also fined $1,500, ordered to perform 324 hours of community service, and must complete a drug offender education program.
37-year-old Zulema Jesus Rodriguez-Morfin of Brenham, sentenced to 7 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 grams, a second degree felony. Rodriguez-Morfin must also pay a $1,000 fine, perform 150 hours of community service, and complete a drug offender education program. Additionally, Rodriguez-Morfin was sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Abandoning/Endangering a Child – Imminent Danger, a second degree felony.
39-year-old Rachel Lynn Williams of Washington, sentenced to 6 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 grams, a second degree felony. Williams was also fined $1,500 and will need to perform 150 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
32-year-old Robert Clarence Walker III of Cypress, sentenced to 4 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 grams, a third degree felony. Walker must also pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
34-year-old Michael Jarod Hubbard of Hempstead, sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than 1 gram, a state jail felony. Hubbard must also pay a $1,000 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
29-year-old Keegan James Snyder of Sealy, sentenced to 2 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than 1 gram, a state jail felony. Snyder will also have to pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
34-year-old Brandon McKay Barnett of Austin, sentenced to 1 year deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Marijuana 2-4 oz., a Class A misdemeanor. Barnett was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
