WESTSIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE ARRESTS TWO
Two women were arrested by the Westside Narcotics Task Force following a traffic stop near Sealy on Thursday night.
Around 8pm, a Task Force officer stopped a vehicle that was traveling westbound on I-10 at Mile Marker 720 for multiple traffic violations.
During the traffic stop, a K-9 unit was requested at the scene. The Waller County Sheriff’s Office arrived on location to assist.
Their K-9 Officer “Daniel” was deployed, and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics on the passenger side of the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 276 grams of methamphetamines.
37-year-old Kara Turney and 46-year-old Samiarae Day were both taken into custody without incident for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Both were transported to the Austin County Jail in Bellville.
