HEALTHPOINT TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE SOMERVILLE CLINIC

HealthPoint has announced plans to temporarily close its Somerville Clinic. The last day of operations will be February 28.

According to a press release, the decision comes after ongoing challenges in securing a full-time provider and financial sustainability.

HealthPoint said they remain fully committed to reopening the clinic as soon as possible with a dedicated provider in place.

They are actively seeking a physician or experienced nurse practitioner about serving the Somerville community.

HealthPoint welcomes the community’s help in identifying candidates for the position. If you know someone who would thrive in this role, please have them email HR@HealthPoint-Tx.com

HealthPoint CEO, Terri Sabella said their goal is to reopen the clinic as soon as they find the right provider. Long-term success will also depend on the community’s engagement and regular use of the clinic once they reopen.

Sabella added that they thank the Somerville community for their patience and understanding as they work toward a sustainable solution. They also look forward to welcoming everyone back soon.

During the temporary closure, HealthPoint patients can access care at  nearby locations in Navasota, Caldwell, Hearne, Bryan, or Telehealth Acute Care Services.

To schedule an appointment or for more information, please contact the clinic by phone, or visit our website at www.healthpoint-tx.com.

Patients will receive individual notifications by mail. Patients with questions, please call HealthPoint-Somerville Clinic at (979) 596-1441.

  1. We here in neighboring countries have Clinic’s and in some cases Hospitals closing there doors. CEOs and the like make 500 thousand a year or more and have connections to other means of health care including assisted living and other facilities. So what is the connection? Don’t really know but it’s fishy and maybe some of our Senators or Representatives can investigate cause nearly every small town used to have a hospital or in some cases two or three. Now healthcare is filled with green card visa workers and foreign investors hoping to take advantage of the taxpayer! Needs to stop! All about cheap labor!
