MANDY BARNETT BRINGING PATSY CLINE TRIBUTE SHOW TO TBC
The original star of the hit musical, “Always, Patsy Cline,” will perform a special Valentines Day concert at The Barnhill Center (TBC). Mandy Barnett’s “Sweet Dreams” show will include a Sweet Valentine Treat on Friday February 14th at 7pm.
Mandy first gained national prominence playing the Patsy Cline roll at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium. The long-running “Always...Patsy Cline” show received rave reviews and sold out nightly.
She is the only performer who played the role on the historic Ryman stage where Cline’s legend began. Mandy is also the vocalist on the original cast soundtrack album. She has wowed critics and audiences ever since, with her concerts and many recordings.
“The romantic ambiance of Patsy Cline’s songs, served with a decadent dessert, will make the perfect Valentine date night,” said Sharon Brass, TBC producer. “For this occasion, we were compelled to recruit the world’s best Patsy Cline artist.
“Mandy’s hallmark album, ‘Sweet Dreams’ is almost as iconic as the songs originally recorded by Patsy Cline. At her ‘Sweet Dreams’ show, you’ll be singing along to ‘Crazy,’ ‘Sweet Dreams,’ ‘Walking After Midnight,’ ‘I Fall To Pieces,’ ‘Faded Love,’ and other Nashville Songbook standards.”
On September 28, 2021, after over 500 appearances spanning 27 years, Mandy was honored with a surprise invitation to become an official member of the Grand Ole Opry. She is frequently on that stage, but equally popular when performing with symphony orchestras.
Mandy’s television appearances include “The Tonight Show,” “The Late Show,” “CBS Sunday Morning,” PBS’s “Sessions at West 54th,” PBS’s “Bluegrass Underground,” and numerous other programs.
She has released 9 albums. “I’ve Got a Right to Cry” was named Top Country Album by Rolling Stone. “Every Star Above” was acclaimed one of the best albums of 2021 according to Variety.
