SIX ARRESTED BY WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE ON CHARGES INCLUDING EVASION, DWI, THEFT, ASSAULT
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports six arrests between Thursday and Sunday on varying charges, including evading arrest, driving while intoxicated, theft and family assault.
At 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Sergeant Nicholas Pfeffer attempted to stop a vehicle in the 1200 block of FM 1948 West for a defective license plate light. According to the sheriff’s office, the vehicle accelerated, prompting a pursuit that traveled into Burleson County. The vehicle came to a stop in the 13000 block of Highway 36 South, where both occupants attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended with the assistance of Burleson County law enforcement. The driver, 17-year-old Deedrick Reese of Brenham, was arrested and booked at the Washington County Jail for Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle and No Driver’s License. The passenger was not charged and was released.
Just past 11 a.m., Corporal Eric Crosby apprehended 54-year-old Sonnet Elizabeth Summers of Brenham in the 100 block of West Main Street for Probation Violation – Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More. Summers was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On Sunday, approaching 8:30 a.m., Corporal Rosa Salinas and Corporal Adam Zavala stopped a fugitive, identified as 29-year-old Armando Bustos Hernandez of Brenham, in the 3200 block of Reagan Beth Lane. Hernandez was wanted out of Washington County for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member. He was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.
Around 10:30 a.m., Corporal Salinas and Deputy Matthew Presswood apprehended a fugitive, 26-year-old Cristian Salazar Maldonado of Chappell Hill, in the 2200 block of Hendrickson Lane. Maldonado was wanted for Driving While Intoxicated out of Washington County and Theft of Property $2,500 - $30,000 out of Waller County. He was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
Nearing 12:30 p.m., Corporal Salinas and Corporal Zavala stopped 50-year-old Jeremy Thomas Blake Eernisse of Brenham in the 7500 block of Apperson Road. The sheriff’s office says Eernisse was a fugitive wanted out of Washington County for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member. He was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
Around 6:15 p.m., deputies apprehended a fugitive identified as 26-year-old Daniel Joel Hurtado of Brenham in the 500 block of Highway 290 West. The sheriff’s office says Hurtado was wanted for Probation Violation – Driving While Intoxicated out of Austin County. He was taken into custody and booked in at the Washington County Jail.
