ROAD CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY ON PORTION OF INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD FOR PUMPING STATION REPLACEMENT

A section of Industrial Boulevard in Brenham will be closed for two months starting on Monday, as the City of Brenham begins a pumping station replacement project.

The city is working with Dudley Construction LLC to install a new pumping station and sanitary sewer collection equipment.  The city says the existing sanitary sewer pumping station will be replaced with a new, 620-gallon-per-minute duplex pumping station that can be expanded to 875 gallons-per-minute in the future.

To successfully and safely perform the installation, a portion of Industrial Boulevard will be shut down and detoured.  The road closure begins on Monday and will last for approximately 60 days.

Work zones and traffic control will be present while construction takes place.  City staff and contractors will work with residents for access to and from their homes during this process.

The city asks for patience with work zones and crews.
