Students across Washington County are getting ready to showcase their aptitude for spelling.

The 69th Washington County Spelling Bee will take place Thursday, February 20th at 6 p.m. in the Brenham High School Auditorium.
The winner will move on to the Houston Public Media Spelling Bee on March 22nd.
The public can attend the Washington County Spelling Bee in person or tune in to KWHI’s live broadcast on AM 1280, FM 101.7 and kwhi.com. KWHI has been a sponsor of the spelling bee since it started in 1955 and has awarded cash prizes to the top three spellers at the event each year.
KWHI will share a list of the students participating in the spelling bee once it becomes available.
