EIGHT SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT

  

Eight people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st District Court before Judge John Winkelmann.

21-year-old Za’Marian Daquan Taylor-Green of Bryan, sentenced to 6 years in prison for Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm, a third degree felony. 

33-year-old Samantha Rochelle Phoenix of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years in prison for two cases of Harassment of a Public Servant, a third degree felony.  Phoenix was also sentenced to 10 months in state jail for Theft of Property Less than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, a state jail felony.

32-year-old Jose Antonio Robles Damaso of Brenham, sentenced to 174 days in the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, a Class A misdemeanor.

36-year-old Eric Leighton VanSickle of Elgin, sentenced to 4 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 grams, a third degree felony.  VanSickle was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.

42-year-old Taurus Lindsey of Bellville, sentenced to 5 years’ probation for Theft of Property Less than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, a state jail felony enhanced to a third degree felony.  Lindsey must also perform 100 hours of community service. 

22-year-old India Elise Allen of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information Less than 5 Items, a state jail felony.  Allen will also have to perform 100 hours of community service.

27-year-old Ariel Adolpho Mendez of Houston, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less than a Gram, a state jail felony.  Mendez was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.  Additionally, he was sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Marijuana 4oz. – 5 lbs, a state jail felony.

37-year-old Carlos Emilio Martinez-Delao of Austin, sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Attempted Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility, a Class A misdemeanor.  Martinez-Delao must also pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
