TIP THAT WANTED FUGITIVE WAS IN GRIMES COUNTY UNFOUNDED

Salvador Saucedo

The U.S. Marshals received a tip on Thursday that a Texas Top 10 Most Wanted fugitive was at a residence in Richards.

The tip said that the suspect was 37-year-old Salvador Saucedo, who has been on the run since January 23 after escaping the custody of the Waller County Sheriff’s Office while being treated at a Bellville hospital.

U.S. Marshals, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS Troopers, and the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office investigated the tip, and determined it to be unfounded.

According to a post made by the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, information obtained indicated that there is no imminent danger or threat to anyone in the Richards community, and that Saucedo is not believed to be in the area.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to his arrest.
