The proposed 2025-26 budget is $1,903,610, an increase of $215,635 from the current adopted budget.  Contributing to the higher budget is an extra $153,000 listed for personnel costs, $55,735 in additional professional and contracted services, and $6,900 in other new operating costs.

The second budget workshop is scheduled for March 25th.  The board will hold a public hearing and potentially adopt the budget at its meeting on April 22nd.

After Tuesday’s workshop, board members will consider adopting a revised board of director’s policy manual before hearing monthly reports.

The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the appraisal district office in Brenham at 1301 Niebuhr Street.
