Brody Tucker (Melonie Rau)

After splitting the first two games of the Brenham Alumni Tournament, the Brenham Cubs dropped their final game on Saturday 11-1 to the St. Thomas Eagles.

The Eagles jumped out to an early 3-0 lead the top of the second inning. They would then add five runs in the third inning, and three runs in the fourth inning.

The Cubs finally got a run on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning. Evan Curtis walked, and then came around to score on an RBI single by Dalton Hart. However, St. Thomas would get the final out and enforce the mercy rule.

Next up for the Cubs, they will be heading to College Station for their District 17-5A opener. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 6:35pm.
