ELECTION DAY VOTING IN BURTON MOVING FROM AMERICAN LEGION HALL TO CITY HALL

The City of Burton has announced a change in location for Election Day voting on Saturday, May 3rd.

A notice issued by the city today (Tuesday) reads that when the city council election was first ordered in February, Election Day voting was initially slated to take place at the Burton American Legion Hall.  The city will be the only entity in Burton to hold an election, though, as Burton ISD’s trustee election was cancelled due to none of the races being contested.

That being the case, Election Day voting will now be held at Burton City Hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All early voting will still take place at the Washington County Courthouse Annex at 100 South Park Street in downtown Brenham.  Early voting will run from Tuesday, April 22nd to Tuesday, April 29th with hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  There will be no weekend early voting.
