47TH ANNUAL BLUE BELL FUN RUN BEING HELD ON SATURDAY
The 47th Annual running of the Blue Bell Fun Run is scheduled to get underway tomorrow (Saturday) morning, and it is expected to be the biggest one yet.
According to Fun Run Organizer Jamie Maurer, registration is closed with close to 5,400 people signed up to compete in the various runs. That number eclipses last year’s record, which was 4,881 people.
The races will all begin at Brenham High School. The day starts with the half-marathon at 7:30am, followed by the Kids’ Mile at 8am, the 10K at 8:30am, and the 5K at 9:30am.
Organizers ask the public to be aware of the race routes, and that if you can, to please avoid them while the Fun Run is going on.
The Blue Bell Fun Run is an annual fundraiser for the Brenham High School Athletic Department.
