BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL BELLES WIN NATIONAL CHAMPION TITLES
The Brenham High School Belles returned home from the Danceline Nationals competition this past weekend in San Antonio as national champions.
The Belles earned titles for both the team and officer categories, with the highest combined scores in the competition.
As a team, the Belles earned platinum sweepstakes and received best-in-category awards, placing second in pom, novelty and contemporary.
The Belles’ officer awards include placing second highest overall in the ring of champions and earning platinum sweepstakes. They also received best-in-category honors after placing first in lyrical, second in jazz and second in contemporary.
Individually, Haylie Paul, Abby Escobedo and Addison Diehl took first, second and third place respectively in the ninth grade division. Kaylee Brown finished third for 11th grade. Graceyn Stroech placed fifth for 12th grade. Qamoria Wright was the winner of the Toe Touch Technique Challenge.
Additionally, Alinna Ellis and Mary Schaub came in third place in the duet category. The Belles also earned first place for medium ensemble.
Brenham ISD congratulates the Belles on their accomplishments and says they have represented the district with “passion and excellence.” It also thanks Coach Samantha Lindsey for her leadership and support of the Belles.
