NAVASOTA POLICE ID SUSPECT IN STOLEN TRUCK PURSUIT OUT OF WASHINGTON CO. THAT RESULTED IN MULTIPLE CRASHES
Navasota police have identified an Angelina County man as the driver in a stolen vehicle incident on Friday that led to multiple collisions around the city.
43-year-old Justin Drinkard of Burke is charged with three counts of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Damage to a Vehicle, two counts of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Injury, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Drinkard is accused of operating a truck and trailer reported stolen out of Washington County, striking multiple vehicles and a building before later being detained by police in Navasota.
According to police, one person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries as the result of one collision, while two others from a separate collision were treated at the scene.
Drinkard was taken to a Bryan hospital for treatment before being transported later that night to the Grimes County Jail.
Investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are pending.
