LADY PANTHERS WALK THEIR WAY PAST NORTH ZULCH 23-1
The Burton Lady Panther Softball Team continued their winning ways last (Tuesday) night with a 23-1 victory over North Zulch.
Due to the mercy rule, the game was called after just three innings. The Lady Panthers scored 11 runs in the first inning, ten runs in the second inning, and two runs in the third inning.
The big hits for Burton came on a two-run homer by Amaya Williams, her fourth of the season, and a three-run double by Bailey Glaesmann.
The Lady Panthers also took advantage of twenty walks issued by North Zulch pitchers in the game.
Lexi Broesche got the start in the circle, and picked up the win.
With the win, Burton is now 15-3 on the season, and 9-0 in district. Next up, they will be hosting Iola on Friday night at 6pm.
