BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO VOTE ON CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR NEW WATER WELL
The Burton City Council will potentially take another major step on Tuesday with its water well project.
Councilmembers will consider awarding a construction contract for the drilling of the new well. The city will pay for the well through certificates of obligation not to exceed $685,000 and with a $593,800 grant from the Texas General Land Office.
In other business, councilmembers will vote on an ordinance regarding payment procedures for water and sewer service and rates. They will then review the final general and utility fund budgets for the 2024-25 Fiscal Year, reflecting actual income and expenses from January through March.
The council will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Burton City Hall.
