HEMPSTEAD ISD TO HOLD RIBBON CUTTING AT BOBCAT STADIUM
Hempstead ISD is excited to announce the completion of its first Bond 2024 project, the renovation of the Bobcat Stadium Track and Field.
To celebrate the milestone, the district will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at 648 Donoho Street.
The $3.4 million project made up Proposition B on the May 4, 2024 election that was approved 854-400 by voters in the district.
According to a press release from Hempstead ISD, the event marks an important step in their ongoing efforts to improve district facilities and enhance student and community opportunities.
The release also stated that the newly renovated track and field will provide a space for student athletes, fine arts performances, and district events for years to come.
Hempstead Superintendent Herbert O’ Neil said, “This renovation represents more than just a new track and field; it reflects the dedication of our community to investing in the future of Hempstead ISD.”
He also expressed his gratitude to the community supporters for making it possible.
The public is invited to attend and be part of this special moment.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see the upgraded facility and celebrate with district leaders, students, and staff.
