BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS TUESDAY TO FALSE ALARMS, FIRE NEAR RAILROAD TRACK
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Tuesday.
Shortly before 7:30 a.m., the department was dispatched to a fire alarm at Argent Court Assisted Living, 2815 Victory Lane. Units made location and found burnt food in the microwave. They helped reset the alarm before returning to service.
Another fire alarm was reported just after 10:45 a.m. at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South. Upon arrival, the department discovered they were doing a fire drill, so firefighters cleared the call.
Around 12:30 p.m., BFD members responded for a fire investigation at the Santa Fe Freight Depot building, 214 South Austin Street. There, they found leaves smoldering in the railroad track area and met with railroad personnel, who had the fire out prior to the department’s arrival.
