BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS WEDNESDAY TO GAS ODOR, FALSE ALARM

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls on Wednesday.

Just past 2:45 p.m., firefighters went out to a report of a gas odor at a home in the 700 block of Independence Street.  Both the fire department and City of Brenham Gas Department made location to check the area for a leak or smell.  After investigation, the gas department released the fire department from the call.

Shortly before 6:15 p.m., BFD members were dispatched to a fire alarm at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South.  However, they were cancelled while enroute, with proper code given to the alarm company.
