NEW YOUTH BASKETBALL TEAM WINS “TEXAS RUMBLE” TOURNAMENT

Hardwood Hustle, a new youth travel basketball team in Brenham, is coming off of a big weekend where they won a tournament, and got to meet a famous athlete.

Hardwood Hustle, which is made up of 5th and 6th girls, won the "Texas Rumble" Basketball Tournament Championship in Houston this past weekend.

Bailey Thomas was named as the Tournament MVP.

The team includes Arianna Alba-Pena, Alaya Walker, Addison Campbell, Zhya Punchard-Hubert, Bella Rangel, Bailey Thomas, Addelyn Cunningham, and Essie Fricke.

The Hustle are coached by Tank Upshaw and David Cunningham.

While at the tournament, the coaches and players got the chance to meet former Texas A&M and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver Mike Evans.
