BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS 2025-26 BUDGET, RECOGNIZE OUTGOING TRUSTEES
The Brenham School Board will receive updates on several topics at its meeting on Monday.
Few action items are on the agenda, as most of the meeting will consist of discussion on matters including the district’s 2025-26 budget and its current budget standing, activity in the Texas Legislature, and the Transportation Department.
Trustees will honor several groups of students and teachers, as well as outgoing board members. The meeting will open with recognition of Natalie Lange and Tommie Sullivan, who will be stepping away from the board after choosing not to run for re-election.
The board will also recognize Madison Ruiz as the winner of the 2024-25 VFW Smart/Maher Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year for 9th-12th grades. In addition, they will acknowledge participants in the Brenham Junior High School History Fair, winners in the Washington County Spelling Bee, and members of Brenham’s CSI LEGO League.
Board members will take up a budget amendment before later going into executive session to consider approval of professional contracts for the 2025-26 school year.
The board will meet on Monday at 6 p.m. in rooms 111 and 113 at Brenham High School. The meeting will be livestreamed on Brenham ISD’s YouTube channel.
