CASA BIRTHDAY PARTY, CAKE SMASH CHALLENGE APRIL 26
CASA for Kids of South Central Texas invites the public to a pair of events to help local children in foster care.
CASA will host a Community Birthday Party and its annual Cake Smash Challenge on Saturday, April 26th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library in Brenham.
The free birthday party will offer activities like a petting zoo, face painting, a balloon artist, snow cones, and activity booths set up by local charities. Guests can also sign up for a library card and get the chance to win prizes.
Partners for the birthday party are the Brazos Valley Food Bank, Brenham Children’s Chorus, Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, Faith Mission, Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, Brenham Fire Department, City of Brenham Parks, National Charity League, Vineyard Church, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and EMS.
The cake smash fundraiser invites local leaders and figures to take a cake to the face as fundraising milestones are hit. They include Washington County Sheriff Trey Holleway at $10,000 raised; Brenham City Councilmembers Leah Cook, Shannan Canales, Dr. Paul LaRoche III and Adonna Saunders at $20,000; and State Representative Trey Wharton at $30,000.
Proceeds from the events will support CASA in its mission of advocating for children in foster care and helping them receive the services and support they need.
