WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD TO VOTE ON ADOPTING 2025-26 BUDGET

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors is set to adopt the budget for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year at its meeting on Tuesday.

The proposed budget comes out to $1,903,610, an increase of $215,635 from the existing budget.  The higher total comes from an additional $153,000 in personnel costs, $55,735 in professional and contracted services, and $6,900 in other operating costs.

A vote will come after a public hearing for any comments.  The board held two workshops to discuss the budget on February 25th and March 25th.

After that, board members will receive monthly reports and updates.

The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the appraisal district office in Brenham at 1301 Niebuhr Street.
