BRENHAM PD ARRESTS OVER EASTER WEEKEND INCLUDE CHARGES OF INJURY, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Brenham police report three arrests between Thursday and Sunday.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to a disturbance located in the 2500 block of South Market Street. After further investigation, 67-year-old Brian McCoy of Brenham was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. He was booked for Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled Individual with Intent to Cause Bodily Injury.
On Friday, a few minutes after 11:30 p.m., officers were flagged down in reference to shots fired in the 2300 block of South Market Street. Police say their investigation revealed a weapon-involved situation had occurred, and 38-year-old Jamieka Burns of Brenham was placed into custody. She was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked without incident for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Approaching 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Officer Duran responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a welfare concern. According to police, they determined that 49-year-old Sai Mou of Houston was intoxicated in a public place. He was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked and released to jail staff.
