OVER 900 EARLY VOTERS AFTER THREE DAYS
Thursday saw the highest number of early voters thus far for the May 3rd elections.
According to Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, there were 352 people who cast ballots on the third day of early voting. That number is up from 290 on Wednesday and 273 on Tuesday, and adds up to 915 voters through all three days.
Of the 352 voters who turned out on Thursday, 343 voted in the Brenham ISD trustee election, 147 in the Brenham City Council and city charter amendment elections, 78 in the Chappell Hill and Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department emergency services district election, and nine in the Burton City Council election.
Breaking down Thursday’s total from the City of Brenham, 62 voters came from Ward 3, 41 from Ward 1, 23 from Ward 2 and 21 from Ward 4.
The Washington County Courthouse Annex is open for early voting today (Friday), Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The annex will not be open over the weekend.
