MULTIPLE INTOXICATION ARRESTS FOR BRENHAM PD OVER WEEKEND

  

Brenham police reported seven arrests between Friday and early this (Monday) morning.

Just before 3:30 p.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to a welfare concern in the 800 block of South Market Street.  After further investigation, 50-year-old Tracy McCullough of Brenham was arrested, searched and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for Public Intoxication with 3 Prior Convictions.

Around 6 p.m., Sergeant Jose Perez responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a welfare concern.  Upon arrival, police say their investigation revealed that 65-year-old Sami Abaza of Houston was highly intoxicated in a public place.  Abaza was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.

At 9 p.m. Saturday, Officer Garrett Downs responded to the 200 block of South Blue Bell Road in reference to a disturbance.  Police investigation found that one of the individuals involved in the disturbance had five active warrants out of Wharton County.  25-year-old Jacob Lee Thomas of Brenham was placed into custody for his active warrants: Terroristic Threat; Collision Involving Damage to a Vehicle; Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport; Assault; and DWI 2nd.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Officer Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of South Lubbock Street for a traffic infraction.  According to police, the driver, 34-year-old Jessie Cienega of Brenham, was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.  Police say Cienega refused standardized field sobriety tests and was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated.

Rolando Cantu Solis

A few minutes past 1:15 a.m., Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 3000 block of Highway 36 South.  The driver, 41-year-old Rolando Cantu Solis of Taylor, was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd

Close to 2:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Rippetoe Street in reference to a crash involving a vehicle that struck a residence.  Investigation led to the driver, 52-year-old Fred Rivas of Brenham, to be placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated.  After Rivas was medically evaluated, he was transported to the Washington County Jail and released to jail staff.

Just after 2:30 a.m. today, Sergeant Ha initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 290 West and South Berlin Road.  The driver, 21-year-old Maurice Price of Pflugerville, was taken into custody for an active warrant out of Hays County for Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair.
