BRENHAM POLICE MAKE WARRANT ARREST FOR POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

  

Brenham police arrested a local man Monday afternoon on a warrant.

Approaching 1:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 900 block of North Park Street in reference to a weapon-involved situation.  Upon arrival, police separated the parties and gathered information.

While on scene, officers were notified that an involved party, identified as 67-year-old Bobbie Simmons of Brenham, showed to have an active, out-of-county warrant.  Jail records indicate Simmons’ warrant is for Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

Simmons was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
