THREE CRASHES AMONG FOUR CALLS FRIDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls on Friday.

Shortly before 10 a.m., firefighters responded to Buccaneer Food Store, 1309 Prairie Lea Street, for a crash with no entrapment.  Units found a minor two-vehicle accident, with both vehicles able to move to the parking lot.  The department checked for fluids, but no clean-up was needed.

At 5 p.m., another crash call came in from Highway 290 West and Highway 36 North.  BFD members found a minor accident, with the vehicle off the roadway and in a driveway.  They checked for fluids and found none, so they remained on scene until police arrived.

At 6:15 p.m., firefighters were called out for utility service at a home in the 1400 block of Allison Street.  They discovered an electrical line that was arcing from a limb laying on it.  Units remained on standby until the City of Brenham Electric Department made location and released them from the call.

A few minutes after 11 p.m., the fire department was dispatched for a crash with no entrapment in the 100 block of South Austin Street.  There, units found a two-vehicle accident with no fluids leaking.  Debris from the accident was removed from the roadway, and firefighters were released by the police department.
