The Lower Colorado River Authority is seeking to build a new, 195-foot telecommunications tower on the southwest side of the property at 2401 Highway 290 West.
Currently, a 190-foot tower sits behind the Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative building, but due to TxDOT’s construction plans for Highway 290, the existing tower will need to be removed.
The variance request is coming before the board due to the change in tower height. City staff recommends approval.
The board will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
