BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO CANVASS ELECTION RESULTS, SWEAR IN ELECTED MEMBERS
The Burton City Council will take up several election-related items at its meeting on Tuesday.
Councilmembers will canvass the returns from the May 3rd election and declare the results official. The mayor and councilmembers will then be administered the oath of office, and a mayor pro-tem and sergeant-at-arms will be named.
After receiving updates on city projects, the council will then discuss the city’s contract with Josh Guelker for meter reader services and work to be completed by J. Mendoza Tree Service on Navasota Street and an alleyway.
The council will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Burton City Hall.
