CITY OF BRENHAM TO CONDUCT UTILITY POLE ATTACHMENT ASSESSMENTS

A contractor will soon begin conducting utility pole attachment assessments across the City of Brenham.

The city is contracting with Spartan Utility Services, LLC to perform field inspections, data collection and documentation of existing attachments.  The city says the work is needed to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards and ultimately maintain a safe, reliable and efficient utility infrastructure.

The assessments are scheduled in two phases: Sunday, May 18th through Friday, May 23rd; and Sunday, June 1st through Saturday, June 7th.

During these periods, Spartan Utility Services crews will work in various locations throughout the city.  Residents and businesses may see personnel near utility poles using specialized equipment and conducting visual inspections.  The city says these activities are not expected to result in any electric service interruptions.

Any questions about the assessment work can be directed to the City of Brenham at 979-337-7400.
