‘HONKY TONK ANGELS’ COMING TO UNITY THEATRE JUNE 5-22

Unity Theatre’s next production will be a musical comedy about three women and their dreams to make it big in Nashville.

“Honky Tonk Angels”, by Ted Swindley, will run on Unity’s Main Stage June 5-22.  It features a no-nonsense Texas housewife, a sweet and determined young woman from the deep South, and a savvy Los Angeles career woman, and while they come from very different backgrounds, their shared desire for something more leads them to a honky tonk in Music City.

Thirty classic country songs help tell their stories, like “Stand By Your Man,” “9 to 5,” and “Coal Miner’s Daughter”.  Along the way, they discover friendship, courage and the power of music.

Performances will be held on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students.  Any unsold seats 15 minutes before curtain will be $15.  Tickets are $28 for the preview performance on Thursday, June 5th, which will also have a talk back session with the cast and crew after the show.  A director’s chat will be held before the performance on Saturday, June 14th.

Reservations are now open for Unity Theatre Circle members.  Subscribers can reserve seats beginning on Monday, and the general public can purchase tickets starting on May 27th
