THE HIGHWAYMEN SHOW: THE GREAT AMERICAN OUTLAWS TO APPEAR AT THE BARNHILL CENTER JUNE 7
The Barnhill Center in Brenham will soon host a special concert honoring some of country music’s most iconic artists.
The Highwaymen Show, paying tribute to Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson, will take place on Saturday, June 7th at 7 p.m.
The Barnhill Center producer Sharon Brass says the show coming to Brenham is “the closest possible reproduction of a live concert by the original Highwaymen.”
The show will include some of the top country hits of all time, like “Highwayman”, “Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys”, “On The Road Again”, “Always On My Mind”, “Me And Bobby McGee”, and “Ring of Fire”.
Nelson, Jennings, Cash and Kristofferson were individually known for pioneering the “outlaw” movement that reshaped Nashville’s musical landscape. Together, they produced some of country music’s most celebrated songs, starting with their biggest hit single and album titled “Highwayman.”
The Highwaymen Show features Gray Sartin as Johnny Cash, Greg Bauman as Kris Kristofferson, Tyson Halford as Willie Nelson and Stefan Superti as Waylon Jennings. The acclaimed musicians have worked together for decades.
