SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, WARRANTS FOR TERRORISTIC THREAT
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports three arrests on Wednesday and one early this (Friday) morning.
Around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Corporal Salinas and Sergeant Himebaugh conducted a warrant service in the 5800 block of Green Oak Lane. 21-year-old Tyler Wayne Mills Sloan of Brenham was arrested for active warrants in Milam County. Sloan was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with four counts of Terroristic Threat and two counts of Terroristic Threat of a Family/Household Member.
A few minutes after 10 a.m., Corporal Salinas initiated a traffic stop in the 13800 block of Highway 290 West for an obscured license plate. The sheriff’s office says the driver, 29-year-old Jonathan Avila of Tomball, had a suspended license. Avila was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
Shortly after 10:45 a.m., Corporal Salinas conducted a traffic stop in the 9500 block of Highway 36 North for speeding. The driver was found to have active warrants and was taken into custody. 35-year-old Antwan Bernard Harris of Ledbetter was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
Around 1:30 a.m. today, Deputy Holmes conducted a traffic stop in the 9900 block of Highway 290 West for failure to signal a turn. Upon making contact, the sheriff’s office reported detecting an odor of marijuana, so it conducted a search of the vehicle. 19-year-old Jaeden Delayne Ingram of Pearland was taken to the Washington County Jail and booked for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
