SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR ASSAULT, NO DRIVER’S LICENSE, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two people on Friday, one for assault and another on charges including no driver’s license and marijuana possession.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Lange Lake Road. According to the sheriff’s office, the victim stated his girlfriend had threatened to kill him and had hit him with a stick. 38-year-old Rachael Erin Hakemack of Brenham was placed under arrest for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
At 8:30 p.m., Deputy Faske conducted a traffic stop in the 9100 block of Old Plantation Road for a defective turn signal. The sheriff’s office says the driver did not have a driver’s license and that marijuana was located during a search of the vehicle. 33-year-old Timothy Dewayne Godfrey of Chappell Hill was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. He was charged with Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Defective Turn Signal Lamp, Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., No Driver’s License and Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
