BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE & MARIJUANA, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA WARRANT
Brenham police arrested two people on Monday on drug-related charges.
Shortly after 3:45 p.m., Sergeant Tiffany Anderson was advised that 24-year-old Jonathan Lopez of Brenham was in the front lobby of the police department and had an active warrant out of Washington County. The warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia was confirmed. Lopez was taken into custody, searched and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for his outstanding warrant.
Around 7:45 p.m., Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Highway 290 East. Police say their investigation revealed that the front-seat passenger, identified as 28-year-old Cameron Batiste of Houston, was in possession of controlled substances, marijuana and a firearm. Batiste was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
