BURTON BETA CLUB RECEIVES DONATIONS TOTALING $15,000 FOR NATIONAL BETA CONVENTION TRIP

Burton Beta Club students are getting ready for the National Beta Convention this summer in Orlando, Florida, and their trip is being backed by two local organizations.

The club received donations of $7,500 each from the Burton Education Foundation and Burton Friends and Neighbors.

Burton ISD says the gifts will help cover travel, lodging and registration for the Beta members, allowing them to represent the district on a national stage.

Burton ISD says the support shown by community partners allows these students to “broaden their horizons, pursue excellence beyond the classroom, and make lifelong memories.”

The district also thanks Beta Club sponsors Diane Wied and Charles Merritt, saying their dedication, time and guidance have helped lead students to this opportunity.
