FIVE ARRESTS FOR BRENHAM PD BETWEEN WEDNESDAY, EARLY THURSDAY

Brenham police arrested five people between Wednesday and early this (Thursday) morning on a range of charges.

Shortly before 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Officer Jenkins responded to the 1800 block of Longwood Drive in reference to a warrant service.  Investigation revealed that the subject, 41-year-old Cric Daffney King of Bryan, showed to have a warrant out of Ellis County for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-b, Less Than a Gram, and two warrants out of Brenham Municipal Court for Running a Red Light and Driving While License Invalid.  King was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked on the warrants.

Around midnight today, Sergeant Ha, Officer Jackson and Corporal Catchings initiated a traffic stop near the 2200 block of South Market Street.  Police say their investigation found that the occupants of the vehicle were in possession of a firearm and narcotics.  The driver, 19-year-old Jaquan Daniels of Brenham, was taken into custody for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Family/Household/Court Order/Gang.  The front seat passenger, 19-year-old Tayshun Marshall of Brenham, was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Family/Household/Court Order/Gang.  The rear seat passenger, 18-year-old Roderick Nolan of Brenham, was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Family/Household/Court Order/Gang.

At 12:15 a.m., Officer Corrado responded to the 300 block of Scenic Brook Street in reference to a disturbance.  Police say their initial investigation indicated that a subject, identified as 38-year-old Erin Christian of Brenham, allegedly assaulted a family member.  Christian was placed under arrest for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member and taken to the Washington County Jail.
