SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS ON LICENSE CHARGES, PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports three arrests between Tuesday and early this (Thursday) morning.
Around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Deputy Presswood initiated a traffic stop in the 8700 block of Highway 105 for speeding. According to the sheriff’s office, the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. 30-year-old Brittany Jean Gilbert of Montgomery was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
Shortly after 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sergeant Belman conducted a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Highway 290 East for defective tail lamps. The driver reportedly did not have a driver’s license nor insurance for the vehicle, so he was taken into custody. 28-year-old Leobardo Jesus Pacheco Salamanca of Houston was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with No Driver’s License and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
Approaching 1:45 a.m. today, deputies conducted a foot patrol in the 200 block of O’Malley Road and made contact with an individual who had an active parole warrant. 59-year-old Michael Gary Montgomery of Brenham was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail for Parole Violation – Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1b, Less Than a Gram.
