BLINN COLLEGE INTRODUCES NON-CREDIT HVAC COURSES IN WALLER

The Blinn College District is expanding its workforce training opportunities in the Waller area with three non-credit HVAC courses designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry.

Offered on weekday evenings at Waller High School, these hands-on courses total 224 contact hours and prepare students to earn three nationally recognized HVAC certifications: the NCCER Core Certification, the NCCER HVAC Level 1 Certification, and the EPA Section 608 Certification. These credentials demonstrate essential jobsite safety knowledge, technical HVAC skills, and compliance with federal refrigerant handling regulations.

“These courses provide students with a hands-on, affordable pathway into the skilled trades, and we’re excited to offer them in Waller,” said Jay Anderson, Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences, Technical Education, and Community Programs. “Students who complete these courses will be well-prepared to enter the workforce with valuable certifications that employers look for.”
