BRENHAM POLICE MAKE FOUR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ARRESTS

  

Four people were arrested by Brenham police over the Memorial Day weekend.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street for expired registration.  After investigation, the driver, 36-year-old Justin Johnson of Houston, was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana 2 – 4 oz. 

Around 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Officer Ramon Torres was dispatched to the 500 block of Green Street in reference to a disturbance.  Upon investigation, police took 38-year-old Carl Eugene Chambers of Houston into custody for Public Intoxication. 

Just past 6:15 p.m., Officer Bryan Morong initiated a traffic stop for expired registration in the 600 block of South Market Street.  Upon contacting the driver, Officer Morong reported detecting the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  Police say 21-year-old Ivan Ramos of Houston was found to be in possession of marijuana, so he was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail. 

Eduardo Hernandez

A few minutes after 7:15 a.m. Monday, Officer Brayten Rolling conducted a locals check in the 900 block of South Market Street.  Investigation revealed that a subject, 33-year-old Eduardo Hernandez of Brenham, had an active warrant out of Washington County District Court for his arrest.  Hernandez was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail for his warrant, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram.
