Work will start on Monday and is part of ongoing efforts to improve and maintain the appearance of Caldwell’s downtown district.  It is estimated to last three to four weeks, weather permitting.

The project was recently approved by the Caldwell City Council after a recommendation by the Caldwell Main Street Advisory Board.

Three to four parking spaces will be periodically blocked off around various poles while work is ongoing.

As part of broader improvements, a new speaker system will be installed on select poles through downtown.  It will be used for downtown events like festivals, parades and seasonal activities.

The speaker system will be funded through support of the Burleson County Chamber of Commerce, Friends of Caldwell Main Street, Burleson County, VFW Post 4458 and other community organizations.

The city will work with local partners to minimize disruptions and keep residents informed through the duration of the project.
