Police report that additional narcotics and evidence of stolen property were found after a search of the vehicle, leading them to obtain a search warrant for a residence in the 300 block of Turner Drive.

The search warrant was executed by Navasota police with assistance from the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and DPS.  Several individuals at the scene were detained, and investigators recovered narcotics, a firearm and additional stolen property.

Two people at the residence, identified as 29-year-old Osmar Nathanael Medrano Palacios and 32-year-old Jose Roan Martinez, were found to have active detention orders.  They were released into the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for further processing.  All other individuals present at the residence were released, pending further investigation.

Police say the case is still active and ongoing.
